Smoothie Fucsia belongs to Nuria Oliva's Smoothie works, the brightest, most concentrated corner of a practice more often turned toward memory and home. Against the layered domestic scenes of Recolectar y cocinar con la Abuela and the Piezas de lo que somos series, these small square pieces strip the warmth down to pure color and gloss.

It is acrylic and resin on canvas at 28.5 cm square, framed in fluorinated methacrylate. The poured resin gives the fuchsia its charge — sealed under a glassy layer, the pink deepens and holds a wet sheen, so the surface behaves less like paint than like something set in glass.
