Details
Fermín Ferrer builds surfaces around fracture and repair, and Rodando — “rolling” — is where that instinct turns toward motion. Against works like Grietas Doradas, where breakage becomes gilded ornament, this piece treats movement as its subject, momentum registered directly in the material rather than described.
The work is mixed media on fabric — acrylic for density and color, spray paint for directional speed, added texture for friction. Layers build and interrupt one another across the surface, so the rhythm of rolling is something you read in the accumulation and abrasion rather than in any depicted scene.
Mixed media (acrylic, spray paint, texture on fabric) · 2025 · 41 × 33 cm (16.1 × 13.0 in) · Unique · Stretched on a professional wooden canvas · Certificate of authenticity included.
