Details
500 Miles Of Good Luck runs on the swagger and grit that drive Gareth Stehr's work, where oil, acrylic, and aerosol pull street iconography into charged compositions. The title measures distance in persistence and luck as much as miles, feeding his recurring interest in chance and endurance.
Here acrylic and aerosol work against each other — structure and depth meeting velocity and abrasion. Layers overlap and cut across a tall vertical field, so passage and disruption read as forward motion without a fixed direction. The scale is expansive but held in check.
