Details
Memory 8007 is part of Chuma Montemayor's Memory series, his long look at time and recollection where a picture is treated as something that persists and shifts in the mind. Rather than a literal image, it works as visual residue — the way a memory surfaces, dissolves and re-forms.
Printed with inkjet on cotton paper, the work leans on that paper's soft, tactile surface to hold fine tonal gradations without harsh contrast, keeping everything muted and contemplative. The square 38 × 38 cm format reinforces its containment. It is one of only five, marked 2 of 5 with an artist's proof, and is offered unframed.
