Memory 1106 Print by Chuma Montemayor Limited Edition
Details
Memory 1106 extends Chuma Montemayor's ongoing Memory series, where the image is treated as something remembered rather than recorded. True to the series, this is less a document than a trace — a photograph interrupted and layered until recollection reads as unstable, revised, quietly insistent.
The work is an inkjet print with direct acrylic intervention, which sets it between image and object: the print lays down a precise photographic base, and the applied acrylic breaks it with texture and opacity. It is one of only five, marked 2 of 5 with an artist's proof, and comes framed in wood, ready to hang.
Inkjet print with acrylic intervention · 2019 · 60 × 40 cm (23.62 × 15.75 in) · Edition of 5, this example 2 of 5 + AP · Framed in wood · Certificate of authenticity included.
